Safety Director, Estimator & Project Manager
Scott started in 1991 in the sheet metal industry becoming a project manager in 1997. Scott has 29 years in the sheet metal industry. Scott specializes in Plan and Spec projects and is our full time company safety director. His current commitments are several projects throughout the Mid-Michigan area. U.S. Sheet Metal has won many SMACNA safety awards.
Gary has a degree from Ferris State University. Has 40+ years experience in the ventilation and sheet metal construction industry. Gary has been serving as a designer and project manager since 1997. His commitments are in specialty projects at Dow, DuPont and Corteva Chemical related industries. He also covers the food and packaging related industries. Part of his roll as project manager is preparing cost estimates, ordering material and euipment, progress meetings and oversee the projects to completion. Gary has served on various boards for SMACA.
John began his career with US Sheet Metal as an apprentice in 2009. He now serves as Production Manager – estimating and overseeing shop fabrication projects.
John holds an A.A.S. in HVAC from Mott College. He is a certified welder and has completed SMACNA courses in Project Management, Duct Construction Standards, and Supervisory Training.
Bruce had 60+ years of experience in the construction industry. He has been an owner of this HVAC business since 1972. He has operated as an estimator and a project manager since that time. Bruce is also very active in SMACNA and is a past national president. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Michigan Chapter of SMACNA and other National Committees.
John and Bruce know the trade 1st hand as both came thru 4 years of Apprentice Training, served as a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker and foreman before going into business.
Karin has a degree in Business Administration from Delta College. She has 30 years of experience in administrative assistance.
Karin began her career with U. S. Sheet Metal in 2008. She is responsible for Accounts Payable and Payroll as well as a variety of office duties including as assisting customers concerns and satisfaction.
Chris started in the Sheet Metal construction industry in 1980 as an apprentice and has an associate’s degree in Applied Science. Chris worked hands on in the industry until becoming a Project Manager in 1988. His current commitments are several projects at healthcare facilities and design and build projects. Chris is also active in SMACNA, serving on many committees, and task forces locally and on the national level. Chris is currently Michigan Chapter President.
Paula began her career with U.S. Sheet Metal in 1990 with an education in Accounting and Business Administration. As Office Manager Paula oversees U.S. Sheet Metals daily operations by managing our customer relations, and office staff. She also serves as the Accounting Supervisor by identifying variances and maintains cash flow by monitoring bank balances and cash requirements.
Overall, Paula is in charge of coordinating various support services and personnel needed to ensure our customers are highly satisfied with our services.
